Dakota is one of our top does on the farm due to her excellent parasite immunity, and mothering skills. We call her "Big Yellow" due to her size and presence. Dakota has continually produced low birth weight kids that wean with high ADGs. As a first freshener in 2017, she kidded a single buckling with no assistance. In 2019, Dakota was artificially inseminated by WMB Mingo and we were able to collect 8 embryos from that cross, Three of the offspring from that flush still reside on our ranch: Amiga, Felicity and Big Iron (one of our main herdsires). In 2023, she had triplets.

At eight years old, Dakota is still going strong and we prize this longevity. this year, she was exposed to two bucks, but we 'think' she will kid at end of December with DHS Black Jack kids.
